MORON ROBBER DANGLES IN STORE'S VENT FOR 6 HOURS
Stuck Robber Dangles In Store's Vent For 6 Hours February 3, 2006 A man attempting to break into a store in Orlando, Fla., was rescued Thursday after he became stuck in a vent for more than 6 hours, according to Local 6 News. Investigators said Lonnie Shields climbed into a small vent located on the roof of the New City Mart located at 2127 West Washington St. in Orlando early Thursday. A business owner walked into to the store and noticed feet hanging out of the vent system, according to the report. The man was also screaming for help. Orlando's fire operations special operations team was called after it was determined the man could not be removed from the vent. "When we got to the roof, we saw him looking up at us with his arms above his head," Orlando fire Chief Greg Hoggatt said. "He got about half way down and got stuck." Firefighters poured liquid soap around Shields and freed him. Sky 6 showed firefighters pulling the man out of the roof Thursday morning. Shields was transported to Orlando Regional Medical injury with injuries to his groin area, Local 6 News reported. Submitted by Lenny
