RUSSIAN CONVICTED OF KILLING 48 PEOPLE FOR PLEASURE
Russian convicted of killing 48 people for pleasure Oct 24, 2007 MOSCOW, - A Russian court on Wednesday found a former supermarket worker guilty of murdering 48 people, a Reuters reporter at the court said. Alexander Pichushkin repeatedly claimed he had killed many more people. "On all accounts Pichushkin has been found guilty with no mitigating circumstances," the judge, Vladimir Usov, said. Pichushkin, wearing a grey v-neck jumper with the sleeves rolled up, sat in a glass cage to one side of the courthouse as he listened to the convictions on 48 counts of murder and three attempted murders. He showed no emotion and instead stared at the ground between his feet, frowning occasionally, before being led away in handcuffs. Submitted by Ivars
